60mm DIY Solar Filter Assembly
Description
I created this to allow me to made a DIY solar filter for viewing the Sun/Eclipse. It uses BADER solar film, you can apply 2-sided tape to the main body and drop it down onto the Solar Film and cut off the excess. The Screws are likely overkill, but they are just 1/4 inch pan head screws I had laying around from another project. You can then line the inter rim with some felt, flocking, or triple velvet (the stuff for the inside of jewelry boxes). Has worked great! WARNING: Please make sure that you buy solar film from a reputable source and that it is rated for naked eye viewing if you are planning to perform any visual observing using at DIY filter.
