Under Desk Drawer for Desks with an Edge Return
Description
This is a drawer I designed to fit under my work desk. The desk I have has a thick edge return underneath, so normal flat under-desk drawers would not fit properly. I don't have the abillity to drill into my desk, so I didn't include screw holes for a more permanent attachment, but they can be easily added if you needed to make that change. I used Alien Tape to adhere the drawer holder to the underside of my desk. The tape adds a little bit of a gap since it's not flush with the wood, but it otherwise fits perfectly. The piece that holds the drawer is 186mm x 200mm x 69mm, and the cut out for the edge profile fits an edge return that is 20mm wide by 18mm high. The main drawer is 176mm x 198mm x 48mm For the outermost piece, you will need to rotate the design when you're slicing it so the back of it is on the plate, and the whole piece is standing vertically to avoid needing to use supports.
