Description
This sanding aid is used to support freehand sanding with wet sanding stones. For the assembly, you need 3x 3D pressure parts, 2x 8mm round steel rods, 4x 15mm m3 screws, and 4x nuts and washers,3x 6mmx2mm magnets (optional), as well as 2 LM8UU bearings. When choosing the bearings, a compromise must be found between durability and usability. The Igus Dryline bearings are water resistant but quickly tilt under forces that are not collinear to the grinding direction. Steel bearings, on the other hand, must be oiled regularly, otherwise they will rust very quickly. The adapter plate can be adjusted to compensate for stones of different heights.
