Broad Sword v2

Broad Sword v2

Description

13/3 a tiny 0.041mm error was spotted on the #15 blade, so the segment and tip have been amended, i apologise for that, no idea how it happened. my 100% prints have now started, so inbetween walking the cat, sleeping and the endless job interviews I have the slog of printing two broadswords, no idea how big i'm making them yet, but one will be excessive. So we're 3 months on, I've learned a lot, forgotten more. but it's time to redo my bigger swords, because there is nothing more relaxing than walking around the house with a big 1m+ sword whilst waiting for the washing machine to finish doing a stupid wash. Pretty much all the photos will be 50% scale to start with, until I work out what I want to print. I got sick of spending 3+ hours printing a pummel to notice I made a mistake, so printing it 50% means I can poop out a full sword in half a day. To say that this is a "finished" project is a bit of a lie, you can print a full sword with what I've uploaded, but the eventual goal is to have half a dozen options for blades, cross-guards, pummels and a massive number of grip layouts of your choosing. To start with I'm going to upload all the 6cm grip options and a handful of 12cm grip options (so you don't have a seam mid-grip) and 3 sword designs. The main difference between this model and the long sword is that this runs a dual core, this adds to the weight and strength of the sword which makes it less floppy at the longer length, the horizontal print lines combined with a 12mm wooden core length ways makes it super durable. also allows us to make blood channels into the blade for more detail. my naming scheme has gone through like a dozen variations, for grips if it's "Grip_Std-Fat" it means it's a 6cm piece where the crossguard end will be about 2cm x 4cm in dimensions and going to the pummel it'll grow by 10%. if it has 3 sizes in it's name "Grip_Std-Fat-Std" it's a 12cm piece where it'll be 2x4cm, grow 10% and then shrink down to 2x4cm. Spacers follow this idea with the StepUp to join a Std to a Fat, and StepDown a Std to a Thin. I've been getting lots of DMs on here, for questions and suggestions, and to make life a little neater I've chopped and changed my old discord channel where you can come in show off your bits and pieces, help me design new pieces and come up with new ideas. (#14_Pummel_HvA was made for one of you). So come say Hi and keep me company whilst I lose my mind making these things printable https://discord.gg/hjUUJTZVEJ Now to start a full 50% print of a v2, first one I'm going to go for is a #14_Pummel with #15_Blade and i'll decide on the crossguard later and then onto a fullscale,
