Lynx - Footlock Replacement
Description
A Footlock replacement for the Lynx. This is a 2-part print that replaces the Footlock on the Lynx. The mount for the original Footlock is pretty tall, if you have bigger feet like me and the footlock ends up pretty high the mounting mechanism of the footlock is in the way for optimal pad placement (Photo example provided), I wanted to lower my pads but it was not possible because the stock Footlock was extruding so much above that is why I got the idea to design this. While designing a shorter mount this I also designed a longer one that might come in handy for those that might have lowered their pedals with a pedal-lowering-kit. If you prefer the stock size that is also available here but I would recommend just printing the extender if you are happy with the vertical size of the stock mount. All the models are for the left side, to get the right side just mirror the left side. Print Settings for Footlock (Lower Part): -Recommended Material: TPU 95A -My Nozzle Size: 0.6mm -Layer Height: 0.3mm -Line Width: 0.62mm -Walls: 3 (3x 0.62 = 1.86mm) -Bottom and Top Layers: 3 (3x 0.3 = 0.9mm) -Infill: 10% Gyroid -Supports: Yes Print Settings for Mount (Upper Part): -Recommended Material: PLA or PLA+, you could print the mount in TPU but that will add some flex so depends if you want the whole footlock to feel super flexible or not, I prefer not. -My Nozzle Size: 0.6mm -Layer Height: 0.3mm -Line Width: 0.62mm -Walls: 3 (3x 0.62 = 1.86mm) -Bottom and Top Layers: 3 (3x 0.3 = 0.9mm) -Infill: 12% Grid -Supports: Yes Installation: The two parts fit perfectly together but of course depending on how well your flow rate is calibrated on your printer there will be more or less friction, I suggest using a small tool to hammer the mount onto the Footlock making the whole process of pressing it in easy, once pressed in it will be very secure and no chance of falling off by itself.
