TRIXIE - Sliding Tower
Description
Description -------------- This is a single activity module that fits the format of the "TRIXIE Dog Activity" module games. I wanted to extend the activity time for a bought module that had just a single slider by adding 3 more sliders. This 3D printable module is a tower with 4 slider levels. Each level has it's own hole for treats input on the back of the tower. When a slider is removed the treats fall into a catching bay. Note! this module is made for cats. So large dogs will for sure rip it apart. Pictures are taken on my good-enough version. Some minor improvements has been made on the STL files posted. These are the parts needed to be printed: - 1 x "Base" - 1 x "Tower" - 1 x "Side Wall" - 4 x "Slider Box" - 4 x "Slider Lid" Some shoelaces also needed. ### Printing tips - All parts except for the "Base" are preferably printed on a smooth bed for a nice appearance. - I got lazy when designing so the "Base" has to be printed with support underneath but that ugliness won't be visible. - The "Base" is also preferably printed with brims due to tendency of warping. ### Assembly 1. Slide the "Side Wall" into the dovetail grooves on the "Tower". 2. Place the big side hole in the bottom of the assembled tower towards the catching bay and mount the tower onto the "Base" by just pushing the cantilever snap joints into the holes on the "Base". 3. Cut 4 strings of shoelaces about 20 cm or 8 inch long. (They are shorter on pictures) 4. Thread the strings through the round holes on the "Slider Box" and make a (not too big) knot on each end. 5. Note! When assembling the "Slider Lid" with the "Slider Box". Make sure that the knots are NOT placed between the holes and a small support wall. The knots should be placed a bit further inside the box just on the other side of the support wall. Otherwise you might get into issues with being unable to easily slide the sliders through the tower. Tolerances are small so a big knot in the way will bulge the lid too much. 7. Now you are good to go just sliding the sliders into the tower and give your pet a slightly more challenging treats game. ### Filament color: I used Bambu Labs PLA Matte "Dark Blue" for the base, tower and side wall. The Bambu Labs PLA Matte "Marine Blue" for the sliders. This looks really good together with the original modules.
