[SCAD] Painter/Broomstick socket for Spray Can Pole Extension
Description
A combination of 1/ ACME painters thread female end 2/ Spray Can Socket for "Spray Can Pole Extension". I did this in OpenSCAD, so I also supplied the SCAD file. However, there's no need to alter parameters to fit standard ACME threaded extension poles (aka painters extension poles). **For most users: simply print the "broom_acme_thread_socket.stl".** For users that would like to edit the scad: be sure to have "Sprayer-1_-_Sprayer_-_Socket-1.STL" and "Painters_Pole_Female_End_v3_repaired.stl" in the same folder as the scad file for the import() in the scad file to work correctly. Note the "Painters_Pole_Female_End_v3_repaired.stl" is a post-processed version of the one in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3619872 Painter Pole Female End by eric_csuf. The original STL had a broken STL mesh I had to repair. Otherwise, OpenSCAD will not be able to merge any shapes with it. Printing note: * You may need to rotate the broom_acme_thread_socket.stl 90 degrees on the x-axis for a print without support. But the threads would be "layered" resulting in slightly weaker strength. * If you print "sideways" in the STL's natural layout, be aware the top part of the socket is not flushed with the print plate. You may want to paint on support for that section to ensure no droop-age.
