LOTR Mines of Moria Book Nook
Description
This is a Mines of Moria book nook I made to match the size of my Easton Press LOTR book collection. I had to cut the body in half to print it but there is also a file of it in one piece as well. I did not save the lithophane file and do not feel like remaking it at this moment but I will add it. I also have a track underneath with a hole to fit a 1mm LED to try to light Gandalf's staff but I never put it in. The body is painted in grey with some sand added for texture and washed in black. There are four LEDs on each side of the front and one in the archway. I glued a piece of mylar behind each rune cover to help with the lights. I made a panel the same size as the lithophane and lined it with LED strips to light up the whole thing. I printed the fellowship with a 0.2mm nozzle and made Gandalf 30mm tall and went from there for the rest.
