Ender3 S1 Rail Accents (Fancy-Ornamental)
Description
Designed FANCY accent covers that fit into the rail grooves on an Ender3 S1 printer. Meant to be used in conjunction with my other ‘Straight’ accent mod: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6542311 --WHAT TO PRINT-- x2 212mm-ZAxisRight1 for the right side of the vertical z-axis. x2 212mm-ZAxisRight2 for the right side of the vertical z-axis. x1 212mm-ZAxisLeftUpper for the left side of the vertical z-axis. x1 212mm-ZAxisLeftLower for the left side of the vertical z-axis. x2 198mm-Bed1 for the horizontal front sides. x2 198mm-Bed2 for the horizontal front sides. Left side of the vertical z-axis had to be made differently due to the mounting bracket screw on the gantry. It moves right up near the metal so I could not use the same design pattern there. --SETTINGS AND NOTES-- I printed these at 0.2mm with White eSun PLA+ and Burnt Titanium Flashforge PLA. I am using Cura with a Horizontal Expansion setting of -0.05. Please print a small test to ensure that the accents will fit properly. Also found that not all accent slots were the same size. Set the Minimum Wall Width to 0.3 to avoid the slicer creating a single wall. Please note: I've found that Cura would not slice the files with specific settings. One such setting was that I had to set the Initial Horizontal Expansion to 0. And I switched from Cura 5.4 to 5.7 Beta after 5.4 failed to slice a couple of the models properly with my settings. --OTHER COMMENTS-- Created multiple channel sizes to help with variations in printer rails and filament settings. TightFit, NormalFit, and LooseFit. (see screenshot) I recommend printing a 40mm piece of each Fit to test on each part of your printer. Zip file contains 18 stl files to correlate with each size and variation.
