1 and 3KG Filament Spool Holder
Description
This is the 1/3KG version of the 5KG version I also have up for download here on Thingiverse. The only difference between the 1 and 3KG version is the hub adapters. They both utilize the same parts otherwise. These all use X2 6001Z bearings for the threaded rod to spin on but are not absolutely required. You could print out the 6001Z and use a plastic bearing. However, it won't last nearly as long but should be good for a while. You may want to put a couple drops of oil on the rod to help with it getting warm from friction and sticking. The crossbraces also use M3x12mm sockethead cap screws and nuts but can be glued instead. The bearing caps have also been designed to use M3 heated brass inserts but are not a requirement. You can just run a screw down into the upright and it will tighten up enough to hold the caps on. So technically, you really only need x4 M3x16mm screws to hold the bearing caps on. Otherwise everything else should be fine just glueing the crossbraces and printing bearings. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Enjoy! Parts strongly suggested but not required: x2 6001Z bearings (or print these bearings instead but use a couple drops of oil to reduce friction) x4 M3x12mm Sockethead cap screws and nuts (or superglue these instead) x4 M3x16mm Sockethead cap screws x4 M3x4mm heated brass inserts (or just thread the M3x16mm down into the uprights and forgo the inserts)
