Sky-watcher Quattro 250P secondary mirror holder washer/shim
Description
This is a washer/shim to go between the back of the secondary mirror holder and the mirror adjustment screws/knobs to avoid the screws binding on the back of the holder while trying to adjust the secondary mirror. I was having significant trouble trying to accurately adjust the secondary mirror placement on my Quattro 250P as the screws were digging into the soft aluminium on the back of the mirror holder causing the secondary mirror to jump around when turning the screws instead of smoothly adjusting. This was especially painful when trying to make very fine adjustments towards the end of the collimation process when the mirror would suddenly jump past the place I needed throwing the whole adjustment out. This washer/shim creates an interface between the back of the mirror holder and the screw heads to stop them binding and jumping out of position. Will possibly work for other Sky-Watcher Newtonians/Dobs with a 42mm diameter secondary mirror holder and works great with Bob's Knobs installed in the holder - so much easier to get fine tuned adjustments on the secondary mirror. I printed mine at 3mm however it would probably work fine at 1-2mm too if your secondary mirror doesn't need much travel down the tube. Stencil should rescale in the Z axis if you want to play with the thickness. Stencil Dimensions should be 42mm x 42mm x 3mm.
