Blocky Hover Esk8

Blocky Hover Esk8

Description

Not really a remix, but not my idea. Bolt holes are smaller, like .2 less than 8mm so bolt threads catch. That way I can mock up the board, threading the axle caps in without cutting the aluminum out of the hoverboard. I have to go back to work for a few months, but I really wanted to see my new mountain board height w hoverboard motors. Answer my thoughts, do I want a dropped board, do I want the trucks set in the board, bolted to the topside? I will get some pics posted soon. I love this idea, 4x4 winter board, I can stud the solid rubber tires with wood screws, and make my icey winter commute. The 20km/h limit of hoverboard motors is really a farse, they are easily capable of 40km/h. There are 4 ways to increase speed. 1-Field weakening in the controller firmware, this is possible hacking the factory hover controller board. 2-Increasing voltage, these solid hoverboard tires would expand and fly right off if you put a 72v controller on these wheels. 3-disconnecting the Star connection in the motor and reconnecting it to Delta. It is a little involved unsoldering and resoldering the hall sensors, and you end up with 30% less torque, but I think the top speed is double with Delta windings. 3-Larger tires is my plan. I have lots of 36v batteries and controllers. Larger tires is easy, looks cool, and I am pretty sure cheap snow blower tires will fit on the hoverboard rims, with the valve stem poking out of the side wall.
