Friction tuner spacers

Friction tuner spacers

Description

I have this cheap fiddle with very poorly fitted traditional tuning pegs. Some days, you can tune it. Some days, you can turn the pegs all you want, grunt and push the pegs in, and it'll still slip out of tune as soon as you let go. I had a set of cheap friction ukulele tuners in my bin 'o stuff, so I thought I'd try those--they couldn't possibly be worse. Unfortunately, the sides of the pegbox on the fiddle are too thin--when you tighten the screw in the back of the knob, it bottoms out before the tuner tightens against the wall of the pegbox. So here's some little cylinders that I printed to take up that extra slack so you can get a good friction fit. If you use the customizer, the "knob diameter" is the widest diameter of the knob at the bottom, where the shaft goes into the knob. The shaft diameter is the actual diameter of the shaft, or rather, what it would be if the entire shaft was truly cylindrical.
