Ionic Bonding Puzzle Kit - With Magnets!
Description
Ionic bonding puzzle to help students practice finding the ratios between atoms based on their charge. In the design of this kit, I decided to make it more generic than other similar activities and didn't include any specific element or polyatomic symbols on the tiles. This way, the tiles can be used to represent any cations or anions with a charge of +- 1, 2, or 3. This kit is designed to use 3x1mm neodymium magnets press fit or glued in to a recessed hole in the model. I have found that the printer/filament makes a difference in the fit of the magnet so I have included models for 3.2 mm and 3.3 mm hole size designs To print in multicolor: Positive Cations: first 1.6 mm light color, remaining dark color Negative Anions: first 1.6 mm dark color, remaining light color Case: first 1 mm dark color, remaining light color
