Yaesu FT-77(S) VFO knob cover
Description
Having recently acquired a lovely old FT-77S transceiver, the only criticism of it was that in common with many others, the rubber cover for the VFO knob had perished leaving the chrome body exposed. Not pleasant to touch, and with no replacements available, I turned to Thingiverse. I liked the KX3 finger grip file by LightMyFire and remixed it, using it as the outer edge of my new file. I amended the size, and reshaped the interior, as the FT77 knob is conical in diameter. Finally, I added a closed top complete with finger detent that sits in the chrome knob recess. If you are a perfectionist, extend the depth by 1mm to make a perfect fit to the chrome skirt. Mine was close enough not to worry. Printed with supports internally and finger detent on top.
