No-metal buckle for leather belt

No-metal buckle for leather belt

Description

I found a belt with a broken buckle and decided to remake it into a no-metal belt that hopefully doesn't need to be taken off for airline security (not tested yet). The bracket (or whatever it is called) and tongue don't need any supports. The tongue snaps onto the bracket, but it is not super secure. I recommend heating the bend in the tongue (or grabbing it while still hot from the printer bed) and using needlenose plyers to tighten it around the bracket. The rivets need to be sealed in place with a soldering iron. I recommend printing the male rivets rotated 90 degrees (so the shaft is horizontal), with raft and supports, for maximum strength. But it's up to you. Printing the male rivets rotated like this results in rather uglier rivets, but the belt covers the rivets when it is worn, so it shouldn't matter much.
