Z-class Torpedo Boat MTB WW2
Description
A very basic model of a Z-class torpedo boat as they were at the start of the second world war. This class consisted of 12 boats: -V105 through V108 which served with the Imperial German Navy Kriegsmarine. V105 and V108 survived the first World War after which they went to the Polish Navy and were renamed to Mazur and Kaszub. Mazur was one of the first ships to be sunk during the second World War as the German invasion of Poland started. -Z1 through Z8 which with the Royal Netherland Navy and saw service through to 1945. Z5, Z7 and Z8 would be transferred to Royal Navy service from 1942. Note that this file contains two models, the Z5 subclass which was for the Z5 - Z8, and the Z3 subclass which was for the Z1 - Z4. Also note that before the start of the second World War Z5 was rebuilt into a patrol boat, lengthening her hull, increasing her displacement and removing the torpedo tubes. The model in this file represents Z5 as she was before this rebuild. These models are designed to be printed at 1/1800 scale, other scales may also work but some additional supports may be required. Made with a mixture of 3D builder and Blender.
