Creality Ender V3 KE Filament Spool Relocation Kit

Creality Ender V3 KE Filament Spool Relocation Kit

Description

I made this kit to allow a person to remove the heavy spool from the top of the 3D printer and relocate it to the side. This kit reuses the stock spool tower so that you can always quickly and easily go back to mounting a spool or partial filament on top if you wish. Changeover takes 30 seconds. I have 3 versions of these parts. 1) Made for 6mm plastic tubing - I didn't have any PTFE tubing so I used some nylon water line that I had in my basement. this works surprisingly well, but the PTFE is definitely better. 2) A version that accepts the quick connect bowden tube connectors (mine were from an old 3D printer and had a thread size of just under 6mm. These are the same connectors from an Ender 3 V2. 4) a version that should just accept the bowden tube directly, although I have not test fit this. The side guide snaps tightly onto the side rail. It's a very tight fit, and I have found that they best way to do it is to get the rail into the outside edge of the clip first, then snap the inside edge around the rail. it should be nice and secure. The center guide is made to screw in place of the original spool holder, allowing you to use the factory mount for the filament sensor and keep everything lined up as it came from the factory. Print the side clip in the install position. Print the center guide with the threads facing down using supports and then just peel away the support from the threads. Print the nut with the flat side down, using supports and peel the support out with a pick or sharp object. you may be able to print this without support, but I didn't test that out. I am attaching the Fusion360 f3d files as well in case you want to modify or make another version.
