7-Port Cable Stay
Description
I had a dilemma. I needed to connect 4 low-wattage AC load wires to a cable that is connected to live. This connection had to be waterproof, permanent, and most importantly safe. It may not be conventional, but I'm autistic, so to hell with it! This little cradle allowed me to connect up to 6 load wires to a live wire, where I'd use two of them (one for hot, one for neutral, and possibly one for ground if THAT were necessary). I used automotive ring-type crimped connectors (see image) to link them all together. The final STL model included has a top and bottom cover for strength, and space in the holes/ports to pack it with silicone to create the water-tightness. I printed this in black PLA, (non-conductive obviously) and I will superglue and then tape two silicone-packed packages together. This will get me out of a bind where I cannot just go buy a single do-hicky to do what I need it to do, and I refuse to create a very complicated package with multiple points of failure. This is a tiny, fire-and-forget solution that'll do the job, it's permanent, it's purpose-flexible and it'll get me out of a bind. Hope this helps or inspires someone! - Gossie
