Quickdraw Screw Organizer

Quickdraw Screw Organizer

Description

I'm SCREWED! And you could be, too! I call this little lovely a "quick-draw screw organizer". It holds 8 varieties of screws, namely (literally) 3/4, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, 2 1/2, and 3". (19, 25, 32, 38, 45, 50, 63, and 76mm), ergo, all the most common ones in my arsenal. The throats of the extended arms are 3mm wide and the slots are 4.5" apart O.C. (on center). The track that holds the screws are roughly 75mm (3") long, so they should hold about 18-20 common square drive wood/deck screws per row, and there's 3 rows per size. There are LOTS of holes for mounting options. I recommend heavy wall loops (I went with 4) and a reasonably solid infill, if you go narrower walls. For my settings (0.32 layers, and default line weights) the arms were solid. I haven't tested this yet, but we've all been in that space where we need a couple of screws for a project and have to root through boxes, or in our hurry we dive into a bin of sharp things and end up with new piercings. This way you can SEE which ones you have on quick-draw, and have dozens at your fingertips. I could easily make a smaller size and larger size, but seriously, how often do most of us use those? Also, I really like using a "standard" wood screw, (#8 I think?) Square drive so I only need one bit and shank to worry about for pre-drilling, etc. I have trays and trays of smaller screws, and could just as easily make one of these for them... I'd be happy to, if enough people request it. It's just not common work at my bench. I printed diagonally on the butt, and it took 42.26m of filament, 126.03g, about 6hr22 to print. It'll fit (snugly) on my 220mm x 220mm kobra neo, and could actually fit TWO of these... if you're a sadist. Hope you enjoy! Check out my other stuff for clever (At least I think it's clever) workshop storage solutions!
