Olympic Medal 2024 (simplified)
Description
This is a simplified Paris 2024 Olympic medal I designed for a friend's party. I have provided 3 stl files that allow multiple options for printing: ------- Option 1: For single extruder printers: olympic_medal_one_piece_240420.stl Print this as a single piece, then paint appropriate colors ------- Option 2: For single extruder printers: Print this piece using gold, silver or bronze plastic as appropriate: olympic_medal_240418u_gold.stl Print this piece using a darker gray plastic since in the actual medal it a piece of the Eiffel Tower that was retained from repairs: olympic_medal_240418u_iron.stl ------- Option 3: For dual extruder printers: Use these files: olympic_medal_240418u_gold.stl olympic_medal_240418u_iron.stl In Simplify3D software I select "Edit", "Align Selected Model Origins" to align the stl files. The image shown was printed on a Dual Extruder MakerGear M3-id printer using PLA with a 0.2 mm layer height.
