Team Losi JRX-Pro / SE / LXT Rear Bulkhead

Team Losi JRX-Pro / SE / LXT Rear Bulkhead

Description

Rear bulkhead (A2001) for a variety of vintage Team Losi JRX-series vehicles (Jrx-Pro, Jrx-Pro SE, LXT, Junior 2, Junior T, etc.). This is a modified version of the A2001 rear bulkhead. It should be compatible with any vehicles that used it but the biggest change is the removal of the wing/aerial tube mounts. These can be added back in relatively easily, but if they are not installed it made the outer link position mounts weak when printed in normal materials (PLA/PETG/ABS). The wall is very thin and there is very little material supporting the outer positions without the wing tubes. In the original glass filled nylon, this is probably less of an issue for the Junior T or LXT; but it could potentially reduce the effectiveness/strength of the bulkhead when bolted to the chassis (I would need to experiment to see). Most of the other modifications were made to make it easier to model/print (removal of drafts, etc.). Tap the chassis mounting holes with a 6-32 tap and the ball stud, shock, and upper chassis mounts (for those with the molded chassis) with a 4-40 tap. NOTE: I have not yet printed this version but based on an earlier print/design, but this should fit correctly based on an earlier print/version. I will likely remodel this at some point as I'm not entirely satisfied with the model. It works in place of the original, but it does not completely mimic the all the original geometry. After printing and comparing, the original has some interesting draft features/shape that upon first glance would make you think it is very rectangular. However, the draft planes do make it a bit more interesting/complex, which I did not pick up on at first. I would like to also see if I can modify the battery cup to be compatible with standard length Lipo batteries - but that may be a bit challenging. Lastly, I will model up the shock tower spacer as well. If there is a strong desire, I can try to make a M3 hardware based version for the turnbuckle mounts.
