MK70 / HK160 Pattern Drum
Description
During a repair job on an MK70 (also branded as HK160) foldable knitting machine I had to create a replacement for one of the patterning drums. You will need the original hardware (teeth, screws, washers, etc) from the broken drum. I've tested it and it seems to work but I can't guarantee long term use, etc. Use at your own risk. Currently only have the drum as one piece as my attempts of breaking it apart into separate pieces caused too many issues/weak points. If I update it in the future I may add the top spring part and teeth. Tips: - Print in PETG - Print with a heated chamber or a higher nozzle temperature to make the PETG stronger - Clean up the print with side snippers to get all the support material off, along with a quick sanding with something like the God Hand sponge sanders - Use a deburring tool meant for pipes to clean up the hole for the shaft - Use an electric screwdriver to put the screw in the top as the extra power can help create the grooves for the screw versus having to twist it in by hand
