Cotton Bud Dispenser (Coles Wool Tips, Swisspers)
Description
I found that all cotton bud dispensers I tried had the same problem. When putting them in the top, they would get jumbled up and jam. When they come in the box from the shop, they are all neat and ordered. I decided to make a dispenser which incorporated the container directly. This has been designed to work specifically with the Coles (Australia) brand of cotton buds called "Wool Tips" (as shown in the images), but should work fine with any brand where the container is close to 108x83 mm in size. For example, the Swisspers brand can be made to fit without too much effort and without modification. I have based the design specifically on the Coles brand as I have found that, besides being much cheaper, they are just as strong and padded as the more expensive brands to the point where I can't tell the difference between them. To use this, take the lid from the container of wool tips, attach the lid bracket, while still holding upright, slide the bracket into the (inverted) base unit. When you place the base down, the cotton buds fill fall into the tray neatly with minimal, if any, jamming. I may make a bracket for the longer (400 piece) container soon, though this has been adequate for now. If a container is deeper, but still has the same top dimensions then it will still work with this design. Ideally, you will want to print this upright with tree supports (The back curve will not require any), to reduce filament usage.
