Ball Bearing 20x40x10mm using 6mm BBs

Ball Bearing 20x40x10mm using 6mm BBs

Description

This ball bearing is intentionally not designed as print in place because I wanted a higher precision and an actual usable bearing. This version uses 6mm (mine are actually ~5.93mm) BBs for its balls. Those are fairly accurate, are cheap and commonly accessible. Inner diameter is 20mm, outer is 40mm and thickness is 10mm. Because this bearing uses a cage to space the balls, it does not require a loading hole, simply place 6 balls on one side into the outer ring, then place the inner ring on into the outer ring opposite the balls and slide the balls in position. Once the balls are roughly positioned with equal spacing, the inner ring should be fixed in place. Add the cage halfs and use the clips to secure the cage half together. I printed mine in 0.16mm resolution, no supports are required.
