3 and half inch PVC Pipe Platform

3 and half inch PVC Pipe Platform

Description

Ok, this is a weird one, but I had a piece of 3.5 diameter inch PVC pipe that I cemented into the ground. I also filled the pipe with cement and a few pieces of rebar. I used it to mount a 10 foot diameter satellite dish I salvaged. The wife made me get rid of the dish... thus my radio astronomy and satellite hacking dreams now forever lost. So I got this pipe sticking out of the ground, perfectly level, and locked in with about 10 bags of cement. It stands about 4 feet high. What to do with it? I designed this special cap so I could mount a platform on top of the pipe that has a little wooden kitty cat house. So my wife's cats now have a little ramp leading up to the cat house. It gives them a great view of the bird feeder about 10 feet away, but no way to pounce on any birds. I'll take a photo of it and add it later, right now it is dark outside. Anyways, you can use this to mount a platform on top of a piece of 3.5 inch PVC pipe, which is pretty heavy duty. You could also use it to mount a piece of 3.5 inch PVC pipe to a wall, or the ceiling... for industrial pole dancing. Use your imagination. You can scale the model up or down to fit different size pipes. Yes it is very thick, because it is meant to be structurally strong. Print using PETG if you are going to expose it to the weather. I printed it in white PETG with 4 walls, 4 top and bottom layers, and 20% infill on the cubic subdivision setting and it took about 200g of filament. Happy Kitties.
