Tesla Model S until 2021: parcel shelf holder
Description
The retaining lugs on the parcel shelf of the Tesla Model S often shear off when pressure is applied from below. Tesla only offers the complete parcel shelf as a spare part. For this reason, I have redesigned the holder and made the pins flexible and removable. I used "Greentec pro" from extrudr as the material for the bracket. This material is highly heat-resistant, which is very important on the parcel shelf when exposed to sunlight. For the pins, I used the TPU "Flex hard" also from extrudr for the reasons mentioned above. However, any other TPU should also work. It is important that the pins are 100% filled in the area of the handle. The pins are held in place by the cone angle of 2% and are , the predetermined breaking point of the system when a strong force is applied (e.g. a dog in the boot of the wants to stand up). In this case, the pins can be replaced with a flick of the wrist. Illustrated installation instructions can be found in the file "Anleitung de-en.pdf"
