Floating rock planter Multi-part!

Floating rock planter Multi-part!

Description

Printing details Printer: A1 mini with AMS Filament: Cheapest PETG I could find (TECOR purple and sakura pink) Walls: 5 for extra strength for the links Infill: 8% on the legs and 5% on the big rock to keep things light Supports: The underside of the big rock and each link start (see .3mf file for already done) number of plates (A1 mini): 3 plates Total Print time: around 40 hours total Assembly details Note: If you are using Bambustudio, please make use of the assembly view and exploded view for extra clarity while assembling (the fullproject .3mf file) I designed it to be assembled by heating the little protruding pegs with a butane lighter, then you just push the two parts together and they will bond very well (tested only in PETG). to minimise the separating line, make sure to test the fit a couple of times before and to heat the pegs really well → You need the molten pegs to stay molten for a couple of seconds while you push the parts into place fully. Follow these instructions at your own risk and please don't burn yourself! Changelog Split the model in half to be able to print it bigger on smaller machine Did a test print and set up the supports in the 3mf files correctly (no need for supports on the side of the rocks, and lots of them on islands) Added part numbers, signatures and markings that line up with each other under the legs for easy assembly. Added part numbers orientation guide as hidden marking between the plant cup and the rock (for easy assembly too) made small improvements to the curve/thickness of the plant bowl to print cleaner in FDM printing (I followed some of these tips, thank you so much, Billie Ruben) Adjusted plant bowl size for a tighter - but still smooth - fit
