Gotek Mount - Tandon for TRS-80, Tandy 1200, Apple II, IBM 5150 and More!
Description
I took all my favorite bits and pieces and came up with my ideal Gotek mount that matches the Tandon style drives that are found in the TRS-80 model 3 and 4, the Tandy 1200, the Apple Disk II, the original IBM PC 5150 and lots of other computers from that era. The BEST part is that the thumb drive and buttons are accessible through the working drive latch. It's in several pieces. I printed the faceplate face up to avoid putting any supports on the face. The LED hole can be drilled out for the exact size of your LED. The faceplate is held rather securely to the body with M3 or #6 screws The franklin ace mounted the drives from the bottom, so I made an optional alignment/bottom mount plate that you almost certainly won't need. I used these rotary encoders - https://amzn.to/3VcDNle And This OLED Screen - https://amzn.to/4dSbgbX I desoldered the headers (optional) from the rotary and mounted them on the back, but you don't have to. It's just cleaner. I'll post a video of installing this thing when it's up.
