Racing Quad X-Frame (Multi-size)
Description
I have simple x-frame designs with a layout of what each was specifically designed for. The frame thickness varies, but is designed for strength is normal flight movement. Screw holes are not designed into the frame due to the nature of printing and weak spot generation. Started screw hole locations are mark and will need to be drilled. The canopy is specifically designed for the RunCam Micro Swift 2 (or clones), but any camera with a 19mm width will fit. The frame and canopy are designed to be used with aluminum standoffs. Printed standoffs would have a higher likelihood of failure during flight, but could be engineered to work effectively. I recommend printing this frame with 10(ish) walls and 100% infill. This will provide added stiffness and strength while providing a good product for drilling. Motor sizes are also only a recommendation. Any motor with that correctly sized screw pattern should theoretically work. The pictured, fully built, quad is capable of hitting 100mph and has very high acceleration with the 1406 motors installed. The frame is more than capable of handling that movement when printed in PLA. However, it will likely snap in a relatively higher speed crash. Other materials may provide more support in this area.
