1U Pi / OC200 / ER605 Rack Mount
Description
I really liked the original russross 1U Pi layout, but I needed something to combine a Raspberry Pi along with my TP Link Omada gear (controller + gateway). This design uses the same construction principles, but I rebuilt all the models from scratch. I am using a wall mount rack, so this model hangs vertically. In this orientation it works very well. I haven't tested it in the horizontal orientation, but I might try making the ears out of PETG instead of PLA if I did. For my application, I was able to fit the following into my 19" rack: 1 mount for Raspberry Pi using a 2.5" SSd underneath (PoE) 1 mount for Raspberry Pi without an SSD (narrower) (PoE) 1 mount for TP Link Omada OC200 controller (PoE) 1 mount for TP Link Omada ER605 Gateway (power cable feed through the back). The Pis use the same mounting hardware as the original design (M2.5 bolts threading up into the PoE hat standoffs). For the Omada Mounts I put some M3x8mm screws into the middle set of holes with a couple washers on top to keep them from running into the bottom of the case. I just used M3 nuts on the bottom. The clearance is a little tight so if you have a 7mm screw that is probably better.
