Sermoon D1 HGX lite mounting brakets

Sermoon D1 HGX lite mounting brakets

Description

Finally decided to upgrade the old MK8 extruder on my Sermoon D1 with a HGX lite Print in any high temp filament you like, i used ASA (260c and no cooling) for the initial design prints and it's been perfect 4x M3 Heat Inserts, two for the extruder mount holes and two for the old extruder motor mount holes. Insert from the back, not the surface where the screw goes into. I used a 5/32" drill bit (or 3.5 to 4mm bit) to clean out the path for the M3 screws to go through. 2x M3x16mm to mount the left side bracket Reuse the original extruder motor mount screws 2x M3x5mm for the extruder itself 2x M3x25mm to mount the fan on the right side, you can use shorter screws but the longer ones will also add rigidity to the mount. If they are too loose, simply use a string of filament that you always get when purging or pulling out the filament and put it in the hole to tighten it up. Something to note if you're getting the Bondtech LGX lite clone like the HGX lite, make sure you clean it out. Assemble it carefully to prevent binding and then run it dry to break in with no load for a few minutes. Clean it out once more and use something like Super Lube to oil it I'm on about 500 hours of enclosed print time without an issue, prints exactly like it did after i first broke it in. I think I'm going to print a benchy every 1K hours to track the wear of the HGX lite
