Kyber Crystal Display
Description
Inspired by Kyber displays created by others, I heavily modified/redesigned the internal design to create a more durable and fun display so my young nephews could easily add and remove crystals without adult assistance. This Kyber Crystal Display kit is designed to fit inside a variety of popup lantern brands; however, I have found the Vont brand popup lanterns have a higher build quality and require little to no modification to the canister to make the display fit. Just remove the lantern internals and reuse the O-rings from the lantern tabs. If you already have a similar Kyber Display canister made by you or someone else this kit should fit with minor internal modifications and may be a nice upgrade. -All parts, except the rings, are printed in Bambulabs PLA/PLA sparkle, but any PLA brand will work. -Rings are printed in clear Polycarbonate or PETG. I prefer the Bambulabs PC clear. -Infill: 75% for Display Core, 100% Rack sections, and 20-25% infill the remaining parts. -Support: I use support for all parts except the Light Cover and Rings. You will need: 1x popup lantern (Vont brand preferred) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NPLSZF8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) 1x submersible light (you will removed the light from the clear plastic shell) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KWXCI3Q?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_k0_1_5&=&crid=2G9G68I0T7BSI&sprefix=led%2Bp&th=1) -Re-use: O-rings from original lantern insert and small screws from submersible light. -Other Materials Needed: 1.25" section of #10/24 all thread, #10-24 nut, and super glue. I do also sell completed kits on my Etsy page. https://r3bmods.etsy.com Cheers! -Ryan
