Description
This Is A Way To Temporarily Mount A Primesense Carmine 1.09 (Or, I Guess A Carmine 1.08) 3D Scanner Onto A Laptop. The Photos Show A Carmine 1.09 Mounted On An Acer S7 392 But Different Laptops Can Be Accommodated By Adjusting The Height Of The Spacer In Your Slicing Software. The Pegs In The Front Stop Have Small Cross Holes So The Stop Can Be Secured In Place With A Small Piece Of Wire Such As A Staple, Should That Be Considered Necessary. I'Ve Used 3 Mm By 20 Mm Long Button Head Screws To Hold The Assembly Together, And A Pair Of Compression Springs To Speed Mounting And Unmounting. A Shorter Screw Without Springs Works, Too. I Did Consider Covering The Faces That Contact The Laptop With Blue Tape But It Doesn'T Seem To Be Required On The S7.
