Model Rocket - Modular Snap-Together
Description
This is a 3D printable model rocket capable of accepting Estes 24mm D or E engines. Each module features twist-lock couplers making it easy to assemble, disassemble, and repair. Simply slide two modules together, then twist clockwise until they click together. If each module is printed separately with a fixed Z-seam, the Z-seams should line up. ![Attaching Modules](https://imgur.com/hLCVvow.gif) The rocket in the thumbnail is made up of - (1x) 2in x 4in Long Fins with 24mm engine holder - (1x) 2in x 4in 1-8in Launch Lugs - (1x) 2in x 4in Fuselage - (1x) 2in x 4in Nose Cone Adapter - (1x) 2in x 4in Nose Cone - (1x) D engine spacer (not needed if using E engines) - (1x) 24mm engine tube cap The nose cone accepts a [1-1/8" eye hook](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-1-1-8-in-New-Screw-Eye-Zinc-Plated-14-Pieces/1345816419) for attaching the shock cord. The other end of the shock cord can be attached to the inside of a nose cone adapter module using Estes' method: ![Estes method](https://www.apogeerockets.com/images/newsletter/Newsletter-573-Images/Newsletter-573-Figure-1-L.jpg) You then can attach your parachute to the shock cord or the nose cone eye hook. **The nose cone is deliberately a bit snug** in the nose cone adapter module to allow it to be sanded down to a perfect fit. Happy flying!
