2020 Extrusion - Blind Joint Drilling Guide
Description
Blind joints are a simple and stable way of joining extrusions together, e.g. this is also required when building the Voron. For reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dvbn0rWA60 As each hole costs €1 at my dealer, I decided to drill the holes myself. I made myself a guide so that I didn't always have to mark the holes. The guide is designed for extrusions which works with M6 screws. These have a 4mm hexagon socket width. I therefore designed the model for a 5.5mm hole so that you can drill with a 5 mm drill bit and have some clearance. There are also extrusions that are take a M5 thread. M5 screws usually have a socket width of 3mm. You can choose a correspondingly smaller drill bit.
