Electronic Drum L-Rod

Electronic Drum L-Rod

Description

Couldn't find any models for this, so I decided to make my own! This was made to connect my kick pedal pad (Roland KD80) to the main rack. I only had one metal L-Rod, so this is used for the other side. I think the size of these are standard across different brands, but I only have a Roland kit to test with. Theoretically, you could use this to mount the drum pads, but I wouldn't recommend it considering how much force those experience while you're playing. If any brave soul tries this, let me know how it goes in the comments! Model is already in the correct orientation for printing. It must be printed at a 45 degree angle, or it will sheer across the layer lines and come apart. Supports **must be used** between the print bed and the larger diameter half (right side in print orientation). I find that tree/organic supports are easier to remove than regular/grid supports. When you're connecting this to the clamp, make sure not to overtighten or it will get crushed. ### **Recommended Print Settings**: * 0.15mm layer height. I think compounding more layers would increase the strength if the rod gets bent, but that's just a thought. * 3 or more perimeters. These actually do very much increase the strength of the part. The more the better * Infill doesn't affect strength very much. I used 15%, but probably could've gone higher.
