Hydrogen Generator Remix
Description
This is a remix of Stoyano's Asteros (brilliant) Hydrogen Generator. Probably the best simple generator cell I've seen and much better than the designs I've made myself. For complete assembly information, videos, and all other technical data do visit his page here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1200458 Changes to his original needed to be made due to some slicer software not recognizing the shell as water-tight (STL compliant) even though STL checks are good in design software. Seems to be that tinkercad leaves some artifacts and does not line up polies well. Removed the elbowed NPT barbed tube fitting seats. Remodeled for direct threading into shell. Still 1/4 in NPT threads, these fittings come in straight and elbowed varieties so this saves some filament and makes for a simpler design. Removing the elbows also made the cover more simple and symmetrical. Remodeled shell to include dove-tail style slots and a hanger that can be screwed to a surface. Generator then simply slides onto the mount. Added a gasket and removed the small ridge from the original top edge of the shell. Using a gasket at the shell-to-cover mating surfaces should allow for maintenance of the cell plates rather than gluing the cover on. This is completely remodeled (based on original designs) as the original model was asymmetrical making it difficult to modify. Also has slightly more detail than the original for a smoother finished look. NOTE: None of the remixing I've done here are due to criticism, this guy came up with a brilliant design that works and even modeled it in a limited software platform so very impressive. All I've done is some very simple tweaks here.
