Paris Cite de la Lumiere Insert
Description
I wanted to design an insert that: - made setup quicker - created a lift out market display for tiles - had individual player boxes - didn't need to cut into the existing box to make space - kept the standees on their bases It was a tough squeeze but this manages it without any lid lift! This is only for the base game, for the expansion you'd have to cut out the board to use the space underneath (there's a good article on BGG of how to try this). Print two of the Player Boxes then one of each remaining file (but choose either Tile Tray or Tile Tray with inlay). The inlay option was very tight and will require thin walls so slice accordingly (I think I did it with 0.1mm layers). The tiles do fit in the actual sunken spaces more or less, but see it more as a map of how to get them to fit back in than a perfect fit. Even if they rest on top of some of those boundary walls, it won't cause any lid lift and they won't shift around. With either tile tray option, all the tiles are held in place by the boxes above them. Remaining pieces are split between the Bits Tray (which should hold the two standees assembled) and the Spacer (which should hold all remaining bits). The Postcards should fit sleeved as well.
