Classic Macintosh LCD Bezels

Classic Macintosh LCD Bezels

Description

This is a remix of the Macintosh Classic TFT brackets by panman_gr. Front Bezels: I've modified the front bezel to be thicker so that the original CRT screw heads are fully inside the front bezel, since the Pimoroni 10" 4:3 LCD screen is bigger than the footprint of those screws. This ensures the screw heads won't damage the LCD. The front bezels also have room for three captive M3 square nuts (https://www.mcmaster.com/97258A101/) which press-fit into the front of the bezel. There are two versions of the front bezel, one for the Macintosh Classic and Macintosh SE. The other is for the Macintosh 512K, because the top and bottom of the CRT cutout is a bit more curved than in the Classic and SE. Back Bezel: The back bezel holds the 10" Pimoroni 4:3 LCD screen. It was originally designed to hold it upright, however I prefer it to be upside-down, so I added cutouts to allow for that orientation as well. At the bottom of the back bezel is a spot to mount the main board for the LCD. I used M2.5 standoffs and m2.5 nuts to secure both the main board and then the smaller button board. The back bezel is compatible with both front bezels. I obtained my Classic, SE, and 512K Mac shells without any internals, so I plan to create a mount inside at some point to hold the Raspberry Pi 3B+, Anker USB charger, and a set of small speakers. I printed the bezels in black ABS-GF filament. It has a matte appearance and looks pretty good without any sanding or finishing.
