FRONT STANDARD SHIFT for Scalable Field Camera

FRONT STANDARD SHIFT for Scalable Field Camera

Description

This is a MOD adding a 30mm horizontal SHIFT movement to Edgar Kech's wonderful camera. Check the 4X5 Scalable Field Camera (https://github.com/edgarkech/scalable_field_camera). it's a REMIXED WORK from the source above You can print and test it basically without scraping any important parts you already made. Basically you will have to take out and reprint: - front standard, - the two pulling levers (one has to be x or y mirrored) - the slider (not mandatory) and to print the new - front standard shift. You can print the F_tripodbase_2 from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6735302/files, and add a 25mm long flat head (conic) M5x25+ an M5 nut to have a nice retain and friction effect. What you gain, and what you lose: - First of all, you gain a 30mm shift in both directions. - You gain a 30g weight - You lose 7mm of vertical shift ("fall"). You'll NEED off-centre lens boards, Linhof style, to address the fall issue. - you lose the "one knob = one action" super nice philosophy, and a super practical thing - you add wobbling, and instability and need to overtighten the screw.
