Spray Shield for Pressure Sprayer / Sprühschirm Drucksprüher

Spray Shield for Pressure Sprayer / Sprühschirm Drucksprüher

Description

I've always been looking for an affordable spray shield for my garden sprayer, which I can mount without changing the nozzle. Eventually I created my own. It's primarily designed for the Gloria pressure sprayers, but might fit other brands as well. The Gloria spay lance has a diameter of 8mm, a bend of 50 degrees with an inner curve radius of 25mm (at least that's what I measured and it seems to fit as you can see on the photos). All parts are printed, no additional parts or glue are needed. The holding parts I printed with adaptive layer height to get smooth round surface and proper threads. In Cura I used “anti warping” pads instead of a brim to make sure they adhere to the bed. The umbrella is designed with 1.2mm walls and can be printed in vase mode (aka spiral or contour) to avoid any seam. I used transparent PETG and a 0.8mm nozzle (150% line width for 1.2mm). If you don't have a “big” nozzle and still want to use vase mode, it will probably also work with thinner walls (which might even lead to better transparency, but sacrifices some stability) Mounting is described in a series of pictures: Slide the ring (optional), nut, outer cover and umbrella onto the lance (all should fit over the nozzle). Then attach the two halves of the inner holder to the nozzle bend and use the knurled nut to fix everything The ring for top is actually not really needed.
