**Desk Drawer -** _**Gridfinity compatible**_ --------------------------------------------- I had some bearings hanging around and needed a new desk drawer so I came up with this desk drawer design, which is compatible with the Gridfinity system by Zack Freedman. **What size grid fits?** The drawer fits a 4x5 grid and can handle 7units tall (52.8mm tall bin) **Instructions:** ----------------- **You will need:** 1. 8 x (8x22x7 bearings) 2. Glue (not mandatory) **Print the following:** 1. 2 x Rails. 2. 2 x Slide pins 3. 8 x Bearing pins (print less if you arent using 8 bearings.) 4. 8 x Bearing retainers 5. 2 x Spacer guide **Assembly:** 1. Place the bearing pins into the rails 2. Place the bearings on the bearing pins 3. Install the bearing retainers over the bearings. It should be a friction fit onto the bearing retainers. However, you may want to put a dab of glue to hold them together. 4. Install the rails with the correct spacing, you can use the spacer guide which will leave a few mm of clearance. 5. Insert the drawer into the rail system 6. Figure out how far you want the drawer to come out by placing the slide pins in the appropriate holes. 7. Open and close drawer and enjoy the smooth operation thanks to the bearings. With the bearing pin in the outter most position the drawer will open all the way and hang at an angle, which is very convienient for accessing things at the back of the drawer.
