Ultimaker Original Feet with Silicone Dampener

Ultimaker Original Feet with Silicone Dampener

Description

I Designed A New Foot For The Ultimaker Original. It Has A Hollow Base To Pour With Two-Component Silicone. After Printing Turn It Head Down, Mix Around 18 Ml Silicone And Fill It Up To The Top Level. When The Silicone Is Done Seperate It With A Knife From The Outer Walls And Then Remove The Frame. The 3 Holes Are Spreading Inside So That They Tightly Hold The Silicone. The Silicone I Use Is Permanently Very Soft And The Printer Swings On It. If It'S Too Soft You Can Easily Just Take Regular Silicone From The Shops. The Feet Stick Very Much On The Printer So That You Can Lift It Without Falling Off. I Made Them That High On Purpose As I'Ll Put The Printer Into A Stand That I Build Next. The Feet Will Disappear Around 2 Cms In A Wooden Plate Then. That Plate Will Have 2 Larger Pc Fans Integrated So That The Cooling Unit Of The Umo Can Be Removed Completely. I Printed The Feet With Innofil3D White Pla At 80 Mm/S With 0.2 Mm Layer Height, 0.8 Mm Walls And 50% Infill To Make It Strong. Bed Temperature Was 60°C Printed On Kapton-Tape With A Bit Of Abs-Acetone-Solution. I Tried To Break One Of Them With My Hands With Force But Couldn'T Break It. Maybe Chuck Norris Is The Only One Who Could. :-) You Need Two Of Them As Attached And Two Mirrored Ones. In Cura Select The Part On The Table, Click Mirror On The Bottom Menu And The Mirror On X Or Y. Print It Upright With The Hollow Base Bottom Down And Use Support From The Table. It Is Good If The Bottom Is Not Very Smooth As The Silicone Sticks Better On It.
