Compliant Mechanism Box Cutter
Description
This is a design from about a year ago that I am just getting around to uploading. The entire boxcutter while can be used by both right and left handed people was designed for a left handed user and can be opened with one hand. Assembly: - Print all three parts separate on their flat sides - place blade into blade follower aligning the notches (this prevents slipping) - place blade follower into side A such that the lever is sticking out of the frame - slide both pieces into the dovetails of side B - depress the back catch mechanism before sliding over matching hole and clicking into place To operate: - move top latch to the right and slide blade forward before clicking into place, - to close do the same in reverse.
