Cherokee XJ Seat latch de-squeaker
Description
These are two parts used to eliminate the squeaking from Jeep Cherokee XJ rear seat latches. Print in TPU The edge guard needs to be mirrored for the other side. Remove the stock rubber insert from the striker plate The wrap that goes around the latch post can be secured by "welding" the joint with a 3D pen. Gorilla Glue might work as well. This creates a slight interference fit to stop motion and squeaking. The striker plate can be adjusted a bit by loosening the screws and moving it in the desired direction. You may need to polish the ends of the latch with a dremel and stone depending on the wear.
