Interlocking Bird Perch/Small Animal Platform
Description
This is an interlocking bird perch so you can make it as tall or short as you'd like- it's perfect for pigeons, doves, and other birds who don't really use round perches! The base has additions you can lock into the sides to increase stability if you're making it taller, the top has slightly raised lines to improve the bird/animal's grip, and one side of the wall is open so it could also be used as a little hut (and decreases the amount of filament used). The wall portions are about 5 inches tall (134mm including the connectors), and the base is the longest piece measuring 190 x 214mm. If you need to make it smaller, please note all pieces will need to be scaled down by the same amount in order to allow the connections to fit correctly. The connections are a bit tight to make the perch more stable when it's taller; I've had to snip the seams off some of the top connectors to make it fit, but I'd prefer to do that instead of having it be wobbly! I also superglued the first wall into the base for added stability, and of course the walls can be glued together as well if you don't plan on taking it apart. I also glued a thin piece of non-slip mat to the base so it's not sliding around on the floor. In files, "baseSside" and "baseLside" are the short & long stability addition pieces. You can forego the base if you're just using one wall, but I'd suggest using at least the base for 2+ walls and the stability additions for 3+ walls.
