Simple Modular TTRPG - Dungeons and Dragons Minis/Miniatures 28mm

Simple Modular TTRPG - Dungeons and Dragons Minis/Miniatures 28mm

Description

Set of modular TTRPG, DnD focused minis comprised of two pieces, connected with 6x3mm magnets. Intended for FDM printing These models are a work in progress. I have not tested all of them yet, and may update some as I continue printing them all, and upload new ones as I make them. Any and all feedback is welcome, and if you give these a try, please consider dropping a like, and a comment/review with a picture of your print or downloading and doing the same from my printables listing (and help me eventually earn a free roll of filament! https://www.printables.com/model/989344-simple-modular-ttrpg-dungeons-and-dragons-minismin). If you are like me and want to print minis for your DnD or TTRPG games, but don't have a resin printer, or are tired of the somewhat varying results and long print times of classic miniatures with your FDM printer, here is the solution for you! Although this collection of minis is simpler than those typically printed by resin printers, they are usable, modular, and easily printable with your FDM printers. I did use a few existing free models to make some of these, which will be linked at the bottom of the description. My intention with these, and splitting them into two parts, was that I can have a number of bases prepared and continue to design and print new tops for various encounters as needed, saving space and some of my time, and allowing my players to update and change their mini as each character grows and evolves. Each base and top will need three 6x3mm magnets, you can buy a pack of 150 on amazon for ~$8, and they can be easily glued into place. Although three magnets is definitely overkill, they provide a pleasant clack when put together, and can double as a satisfying fidget/stim toy if, like me, that's something that helps you focus. Versions of each top piece come with and without text (noted in the file name), and could be easily modified to have a character name, or other identifiers. If you print a version with text, i recommend using supports. I included a screenshot of my support settings in Orca Slicer, which I have found great success with. If printing files without text, they are support free! Using your standard print settings should be sufficient. I print them with a layer height of 0.15mm, 4 walls, and 4 top/bottom layers. For infill, 10% is enough, use more if you want a heftier piece (i think the bases are really nice with 100% infill but that's just me, and you should probably save your filament). The ones pictured are printed in Elegoo Rapid PETG, but any material will be fine. One base and one top file print in about an hour on my v0.2 and modified ender 3.
