M715 disc brake conversion prototype
Description
This is a prototype for a disc brake conversion kit for the military m715 and its variants. It is a recreation of a conversion kit that used to exist. It would need to be made of metal to function properly. The real version would be welded to the back of a wheel hub and allow a chevy disc brake to be bolted to it. Included are also holes for the studs of the original axle to be removed and replaced. It has been a couple years since I designed this and don't remember exactly which model year chevy disc brake would be used. I know that it is an 8 lug pattern, but to keep the ability to remove original studs, two of the chevy lugs wouldn't be used to mount the disc. the original item this was based on from years ago only had 4 if I remember correctly, so this is an improvement. I will go back in at some point and figure out which year/make/model disc brakes would be needed. The file should be to scale, but I haven't been capable of testing it on an actual truck as I don't have a truck yet. Created in Fusion360
