Adapter for Impact head sprinkler
Description
Telescopic sprinklers are expensive, as much as 8x the cost of a zinc Impact sprinkler which can be had for less than $5 each. This adapter accepts the spike end of a common impact sprinkler which can be secured in the jaws of the vice. The anchor end can be attached to the top of a stick. In my case I have found that a furring strip, 8 ft long, which can be bought at US hardware stores for about $2-3 is the perfect width. I have sawed these to about 6 ft long, pounded them into the ground, and a single impact sprinkler can now cover my entire backyard.
